State police at Bethlehem - crashes
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• Fatim Figueroa-Lantigua, 27, of Allentown, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 4:47 p.m. June 6 at the intersection of Levans Road and Independence Drive in North Whitehall Township. Police said she was driving a 2009 Honda Civic that failed to stop for a stop sign while turning right on Levans Road. She then hit a 2017 Honda 4-Runner driven by Joel W. Eichelberger, 86, of Orefield. Police said Eichelberger was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance corps to an area hospital after suffering back pain. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
• Police were called to a hit-and-run incident at 7:30 a.m. May 31 on Route 309 in Heidelberg Township.
They said the operator of the vehicle lost control and struck the guide rail along the highway, then left the scene.
• Isaiah L. Lewis, 19, of Allentown, was cited after a crash at 9:59 a.m. May 28 on Route 309 in North Whitehall Township. He was not hurt in the crash.
Police said he was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry northbound when he was affected by a medical condition. They said the car crossed over the centerline and went into the southbound lane where it struck the curb. The car was towed from the scene, police said.
• Kevin J. English, 63, of Macungie, was cited after a crash at 3:15 p.m. June 6 at the intersection of Route 309 and Education Park Drive in North Whitehall Township.
Police said he was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion that was involved in the incident with a 2006 Honda Pilot operated by Alicia M. Finken, 31, of Schnecksville.
They said she was treated at the scene by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance corps but was not transported to a medical facility.
English was not hurt in the crash, police said.
• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 4:14 p.m. June 6 on Main Street in North Whitehall Township. Police said it happened when a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Michael R. Smith, 63, of Schnecksville, was northbound on Route 309 and rounded a curve when the operator was not able to stop in time for traffic. The Silverado struck the rear of a 2021 Mazda driven by Colin K. Woodward, 30, of Germansville, causing minor damages to both vehicles.
