Former Marian swimming standout is set to compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The West Virginia star will compete in the 200 and 400 IM races in Indianapolis. Berlitz earned a spot in the 2024 Team Trials after qualifying for them in 2020.

Berlitz is the reigning Big 12 Champion in the men’s 400-yard individual medley.

In April, Berlitz surpassed the Olympic Trials mark in the 400-meter IM of 4:25.19 with a 4:23.11 at the TYR Pro Swim Series, which was good enough for the seventh seed in finals. In the finals, Berlitz improved that to a 4:20.93 race, placing him fifth.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials will take place June 15-23.
