State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 42-year-old Lehighton woman was cited for a dog law violation after police were called to an incident at 3:01 p.m. June 9 on Penns Mountain Road, East Penn Township.

They said a 34-year-old woman from Allentown, was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township, for injuries that required stitches after the incident.

• Police were called to a burglary that happened between 1-4 p.m. June 8 at a horse barn on Ben Salem Road, East Penn Township.

The owners told police someone took saddles from the barn during those hours.

• Police are investigating a burglary with residential force incident that happened between 1 p.m. June 1 and 12:50 p.m. June 8 at a residence on Fireline Road, Bowmanstown.

• Police cited a Kunkletown couple - a 34-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man - for harassment by physical contact after they were summoned to a domestic disturbance at 9:26 p.m. June 6.

It happened at a property on Floyd Drive in Polk Township when the parties pushed and shoved each other.

• A 57-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police conducted a traffic stop at 7:57 p.m. June 1.

They stopped him in a 2013 Volkswagen Passat for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on State Road in Franklin Township.

• A 41-year-old man from Gilbert is facing burglary charges after police responded to the incident at 9:53 a.m. May 30.

It happened at a property on Interchange Road, Polk Township.

Police said the man, whose name was not released, was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
