State police at Fogelsville - CRASHES

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• No one was hurt in a three-vehicle crash at 3:22 p.m. May 23 on Interstate 78 in Lower Macungie Township.

Police said it happened when a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Stephanie M. Heckman, 41, of Summit Hill, was merging lanes during a traffic stop and struck the passenger’s side of a 2016 Toyota Highlander operated by Rasha E. Ahmed, 43, of Allentown, pushing the Toyota into a 2020 GMC Sierra driven by Benjamin A. Moyer, 47, of Lehighton.

Police said the Cobalt sustained heavy damages while the other two vehicles had minor damages. Heckman was cited for following too closely.

• Josue Guzman, 51, of Summit Hill, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:54 a.m. May 10 on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said he was driving a 2001 Dodge Dakota eastbound when he lost control and struck the concrete median divider then traveled across both lanes striking a tree and finally coming to rest on the right shoulder of the interstate. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police said Guzman was cited for the crash.
