Wildcat Road in Walker Township was closed due to a tractor trailer crash.

The incident occurred just before noon as the rig was traveling on the south side of the Wildcat Mountain. The tanker portion of the rig, filled with molasses rolled over on the right berm down an embankment. There was no spillage of the content. The operator of the rig was self extricated with no injury.

West Penn and Tamaqua fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
