Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

Looking ahead

• June 16: Worship services and Sunday school. Dads and grads will be recognized at both services

• Vacation Bible School: June 17-21. Event begins at 5 p.m. each night with a meal. VBS takes place from 6-8:30 p.m. A VBS program takes place at 10 a.m. on June 23 followed by the church picnic at 11 a.m. Preregister in the lobby. Forms are also on the church’s website.

• June 19: 10 a.m. GriefShare

• June 25: 10 a.m. Quilters meeting; 7 p.m. trustees meeting

• June 26: 10 a.m. GriefShare; 7 p.m. Prayer and Praise

• Vacation Sunday school: Children ages 4 through sixth grade are invited to participate in crafts, Bible studies and more in June, July and August. The classes are held at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays.

• June 22: Help is needed for cleanup day at Bowman Park.

• June 30: Camp Family Reunion

• July 7: Missionary Service

• Camp will be held at Bowman Park, 220 Lime St., Bowmanstown, in July. More details at www.bowmanparkcamp.com.

• June Mission: The benevolence fund, which aims to meet the emergency needs of church families and the community.

Missionary Sundays

• June 30: Ryan Timlin, Grace International School in Thailand

• July 7: Joe and Corinna Cavanaugh, World Gospel Mission in Central Mexico. There is a combined Sunday school for adults and children in Leah’s room at 9:45 a.m.

Micah’s Meals will begin on June 16 and is in need of lists to begin the new school year. Any food donations should have a best by date December 2024 or later.

ABC Food Pantry is in need of canned goods and nonperishable food items. Please drop off donations in the church lobby.
