State Police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:

• Police responded to an incident that happened between 2-9 p.m. May 30 on Mountain Road in Jackson Township.

They said an unknown person was driving a vehicle when he/she overcompensated for a curve and struck a mailbox at 2562 Mountain Road.

The damages are estimated at $200, police said.

• Heather L. Hendrickson, 25, of Effort, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:37 p.m. June 2 on Pennell Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel in the MedEvac helicopter to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.

Police said she was driving a 2012 Subaru Legacy northbound when she overcompensated while rounding a curve. The car went out of control and struck a boulder on the north berm.

Police said the driver had pre-existing medical conditions and was treated on scene before the transfer.

They said the car was towed from the scene.
