Information has been released for Northwestern’s PIAA Class 4A softball semifinal contest.

The Tigers will face District 11 champion Blue Mountain Monday at Lyon Ballfield in Mertztown at 6:30 p.m.

Northwestern, now 22-4, reached the semifinals by defeating District 2 champ Valley View, 6-1, on Thursday. The Eagles, who sport a 25-1 mark, rolled past Pope John Paul II, 13-3, to set up a rematch with the Tigers.

Blue Mountain not only downed Northwestern in this year’s district title game, but it also topped the Tigers in last season’s state semifinal contest en route to a PIAA title.

The winner of Monday’s matchup advances to the state championship game, which will be held Friday at Penn State University at 1:30.
