Route 902 in Mahoning Township was closed Tuesday afternoon because of a crash.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. as the motorist was traveling west and apparently lost control, going off the road and snapping off a utility pole.

The Mahoning Valley fire company responded, maintaining traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway between Mill Road and Laurel Drive.

The Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
