Tamaqua Area students established a chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America this past school year. In the first year, 26 joined and worked hard to prepare for the Region 23 competition at Susquehanna University in December. Nine students placed high enough to be eligible to attend the FBLA State Conference in Hershey in April. Junior Ignatius Neifert placed second in the state in the field of personal finance and will be representing the Pennsylvania FBLA at the National Leadership Conference this July in Orlando, Florida.
