The Palmerton Band is set to kick off the Concourse Club’s summer concert series at 7 p.m. Sunday. This marks the 35th year of summer concerts held at Palmerton Borough Park and are offered free of charge for the public to enjoy.
June and July concerts are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and concerts in August will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
“We are delighted to continue the annual tradition of our summer concerts,” says newly elected Concourse Club President, Patricia Kern. “We have a good selection of bands and encourage people to come to the park to join their friends and enjoy some live music.”
The Palmerton Band, South Penn Dixie, Band of Brothers, Steel Creek, PA Villagers and the Hazleton Band all return to the park this summer.
Additionally, some bands will be making their debut in the Park including: Joey & the T-Birds, Castaway Band, Galena Brass and the Mudflaps.
The Summer Concert Series began in 1989 and was the brainchild of Mata Curran, then Concourse Club President. The series has happened each of the past 34 years, including an abbreviated series during the pandemic.
The Concourse Club would like to thank the Harry Brown Estate for sponsoring this year’s concerts. The club reserves the right to cancel any concert due to inclement weather. All cancellations will be posted on the Concourse Club’s Facebook page. For additional information, call 610-826-7279.
