A man who refused to leave the Tent City encampent in Lehighton has been taken away in an ambulance and the standoff which began this morning has ended.
A Pennsylvania State Police team was called to a standoff at the Tent City homeless encampment in Lehighton.
The last person remaining at the camp has said he would blow up the camp. According to reports on the scene, he has set his tent on fire.
As a precaution, Reading and Blue Mountain was asked to stop train traffic through the area. The whitewater operations are on hold.
Local fire departments and police departments was staged along North First Street.
