Robert and Carolyn Carter of Forest Inn are celebrating 60 years of marriage. They were married May 23, 1964, at St Paul’s Union Church, Big Creek.

Robert, retired from Rencor Construction, is the son of the late Ray and Tess Carter of Forest Inn. Carolyn, a homemaker, is the daughter of the late Ed and Irene Parliman of Franklin Township.

The celebrants have three children: Steve of Palmerton, Scott (Tina) of Forest Inn, and Diana (Ryan) of Franklin Township. They have seven grandchildren: Aaron, Matt (Alyssa), Andria (Brian), Ashleigh (Tom), Amber (Drew), Jacob and Megan.

They also have eight great-grandchildren: Eason, Zackary, Madison, Rowan, Ryleigh, Chloe, Brooke and Peyton.
