Berlinsville opened its Blue Mountain League season Tuesday with a one-run victory over Easton.

Easton-Berlinsville
The Berlinsville Braves opened their season Tuesday with a 9-8 victory over the Easton Falcons.
Zack Smethers had two hits, including a walk-off double in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Zach Day finished 3-for-3, including a two-run homer, while Rommel Perez added a pair of hits.
Owen Ness delivered a three-run triple in the home fifth to tie the game. Jim Thorpe graduate Noah Snisky scored the tying run on Ness’s three-base hit.
Palmerton grad Luke Netznik started on the mound for the winners.

Elks-East End
Jacob Kufro had two hits and scored two runs as the Elks earned an 8-7 comeback win over East End.
Kufro also picked up the pitching win, while Ellison Sommers and Rocco Biasi each added hits. For East End, Mason Murphy, Lucas Brennan, and Layton Laybourn all had hits.
Hartman’s-East End
Hartmans, who scored four runs in the sixth inning to tie the game, earned its first victory with an 8-7 extra-inning decision over East End.
Nolan Runk knocked in two runs for the winners, while Bryce Bailey struck out six in his two innings on the mound.
Hunter Hill and Aidan Sabol both had a pair of hits for East End, which also received two runs apiece from Lucas Brennan and Mason Murphy.
Hartman’s-East End
Bryce Bailey’s pitching and hitting helped Hartman’s gain a 9-7 victory over East End.
Bailey struck out eight in three innings of work, and collected two hits at the plate.
Hartman’s also received a pair of hits from Gavin Wagner, while East End’s Aidan Sabol had two hits and two RBIs, and Braxton Barrett added two runs.
East End-Elks
Braxton Barrett pitched three innings of no-hit ball as East End eventually recorded a 14-9 win over Elks.
Layton Laybourn scored three runs for East End, while Lucas Brennan - who earned a save - and Aidan Sabol crossed home twice.
Jacob Kufro paced Elks with a three-run triple.
