Panther Valley product Hailey Shreffler used a strong finish to win the 1500-meter run at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships.

The Panther Valley standout passed seven competitors on the final lap to claim the MAC title in the 1500.

Shreffler’s huge accomplishment puts her second on the Eastern top-10 list, as she cut off nearly 16 seconds of her career-best time with an outstanding time of 4:39.66 that day in Chester. The junior’s final lap was two and a half seconds faster than any of her competitors. She won the race by a second and a half.

Shreffler also took part in the 800-meter run later that day and set another personal record with a fourth-place finish. Her time of 2:16.8 was over two seconds faster than her previous Personal Record (PR) and move her into third in the program history in the event.
