Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when involved in a crash in Mahoning township. The crash occurred around 2 p.m. along Mahoning Drive West just west of the intersection with Breezewood Drive.

The vehicle appeared to be traveling west when the driver lost control and hit a tree.

The Mahoning Valley fire company responded, assisting at the scene and shutting down the roadway. The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance and Lehighton paramedics.

Mahoning township police are investigating the incident.
