State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Marcin Brzostowska, 47, of Blakeslee, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash at 8:06 p.m. May 5 on Interchange Road in Polk Township. Police said he was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang northbound while impaired and traveling too fast for conditions. The car struck a traffic signal support sustaining disabling damages.

Police said Brzostowska refused medical treatment at the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:22 p.m. May 3 on Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township.

Police said Tatiana Melendez-Santos, 32, of Effort, was the driver of the vehicle which had two passengers in it, a 9-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy.

Police did not provide the details of the crash.

• A 16-year-old girl from Lehighton was involved in a crash when a car she was driving lost control and landed on its roof at 2:04 p.m. May 3 on Forest Street in Towamensing Township. They said she was driving the 2009 Toyota Camry eastbound when she failed to maintain control of it while rounding a curve. The car left the roadway and then rolled onto its passenger side and roof. Police said she refused medical treatment at the scene.

• Kamryn M. Larocca, 18, of Kunkletown, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 12:09 p.m. May 3 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. Police said she was driving a 2015 Mazda eastbound when it struck a 2018 Isuzu operated by Brian T. Buser, 56, of Glendon. They said the Mazda continued for about 10 feet and struck a ditch while the Isuzu traveled about 500 feet before coming to rest on the shoulder of the road. The Mazda had disabling front-end damages while the Isuzu had minor damages and was driven from the scene. No one was injured in the crash.
