Lehighton Borough Police Department on Monday announced joint seat belt and impaired driving enforcement activities as part of the 2024 May/June “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

The joint mobilization began Monday and runs through June 2 on Route 209/Route 443 and other roadways in Lehighton Borough, Carbon County.

During these joint enforcement operations, Lehighton Borough will be conducting seat belt and impaired driving enforcement simultaneously.

Unbelted and impaired driving crashes are shown to be significant contributors to traffic injuries and deaths, especially during nighttime hours.
