State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 47-year-old Brodheadsville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:03 a.m. May 7 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.
Police said he was driving a 2014 Hyundai Elantra that was stopped for a Title 75 violation.
• A 23-year-old Schuylkill Haven woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop police made at 2:55 a.m. May 6.
She was stopped in a 2012 Honda Accord for multiple Title 75 violations on North First Street in Lehighton.
• A 21-year-old Nazareth man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 1:49 a.m. May 4 on Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township.
Police said he was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram truck when he was stopped for violations of Title 75.
• Police responded to a theft incident at 222 White St., Weissport.
A 46-year-old Weissport woman told police someone stole her red R A 39E-bike worth $1,400 between 10 p.m. May 3 and 3 p.m. May 4.
• Two people were cited for harassment after police responded to an incident at 12:44 a.m. May 3 at 69 Shad Blue Lane, Penn Forest Township.
Police said Hannah Howard, 31, and Bettyanne Hoffman, 52, both of Jim Thorpe, were engaged in a verbal dispute and threatened each other.
• A 36-year-old Kunkletown woman is the victim of a theft by deception/wire fraud incident that police were called to at 9:35 a.m. May 3 on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.
Police said she was convinced to send an actor $2,500 through Zelle and $800 through Cashapp.
• A 36-year-old Saylorsburg woman was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident at 11:52 p.m. May 1 at a property on Pheasant Road, Ross Township.
A 15-year-old girl from Saylorsburg told police a verbal argument turned physical when the woman grabbed her.
• A 39-year-old Effort man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 2:58 a.m. April 30 on Pohopoco Drive in Franklin Township.
Police said he was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado when he was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation.
• A 35-year-old Lehighton woman reported a harassment by physical contact incident at 8:31 p.m. April 28.
It happened on Held Street in Franklin Township. Police said no charges will be filed as a result of the incident.
• A 44-year-old Lansford man was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Institute, Nesquehoning, on charges of indecent assault after police responded to an incident on Andrewsville Street in Lansford at 7:02 p.m. April 28.
Police said a 44-year-old Lansford woman who reported a physical sexual assault occurred between her and the man.
• A 51-year-old Beaver Meadows man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 6:32 p.m. April 28.
They stopped him in a 2002 Hartline travel trailer for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on White Street in Weissport.
