The Rev. Edward L. George, a native of Philadelphia, was officially installed as pastor of the First Presbyterian Churches of Lehighton and Jim Thorpe yesterday in the Lehighton church.

He assumed his new duties of the two-church charge on April 1, arriving here from Reed Memorial United Presbyterian Church, Lyndhurst, New Jersey, were he served as pastor for nearly six years.

The installing officer was the Rev. John Stone, moderator of the Lehigh Presbytery. Participats included the Rev. Benton Zettlemoyer, pastor of Bethany E.C. Church, Lehighton; the Rev. Frederick Black of Freeland; and the Rev. Robert Roberts, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill.
