East End split its first four games in the Tamaqua Little League 8-10 year-old division.
Tamaqua 8-10
Elks-East End
Elks Lodge defeated East End 13-2 behind the strong pitching and hitting of Jacob Kufro.
Kufro had two hits, two RBIs, and struck out five in two innings on the mound. Owen Hope and Rocco Biasi also had two hits and multiple RBIs for the winners. Finn Davis singled and scored twice.
Mason Murphy had two hits, and Aidan Sabol tripled for East End.
American Hose-East End
Led by Grayson Smith’s three hits and three RBIs, American Hose squeaked past East End, 5-4.
American Hose also got two runs scored from Chase Eltringham.
East End was paced by Lucas Brennan’s two hits, along with RBI extra base hits from Hunter Heisler and Aidan Sabol.
East End-Hartman’s
East End capitalized on 18 walks to outlast Hartman’s 10-7.
Lucas Brennan, Mason Murphy, and Aidan Sabol all scored multiple times for the winners. Murphy struck out four and picked up the pitching win.
George Pinkey had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in two runs for Hartman’s.
East End-Elks
East End defeated Elks 7-3.
Aidan Sabol had a double for East End. Mason Murphy, Lucas Brennan and Sabol combined to allow just two hits and strike out 11 on the mound. Brennan picked up the win.
Jacob Kufro had a hit and two RBIs for Elks.
