Youth fishing contest

Springside Sportsmen Club Inc. will host the 4th Annual Youth Fishing contest on Saturday. Registration will start at 6:30 a.m. for those who preregistered. Walk-ins at 7 a.m.

The event will take place at Seventh Street, Old Covered Bridge, Slatington. Fishing will begin at 8 a.m.

All kids 3-15 (Accompanied by guardian) fish for free. Each child will receive a free T-shirt, hot dog, drink, snack and ice cream. Rain date Sunday.

Mother’s Day bingo

Diamond Fire Company will have a Mother’s Day Bingo this Saturday. Doors open at 4 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:30. The fire company is located at Diamond Fire Company Bingo Hall, 110 Main Street, Walnutport.

Basket raffle

Blue Mountain Fish and Game will host a basket raffle on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Blue Mountain Fish and Game, 4190 Wood Drive, Walnutport. This is to Benefit Lehigh Township Recreation Board and Furry Feet Rescue Inc.

St. John’s UCC will host their 25th Annual Basket Social Sunday at the Diamond Fire Company Bingo Hall, 110 Main St., Walnutport. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Drawing at 8:30. For information, call 610-767-5554.

Bingo

Emerald Fire Company will host a cash bingo on Sunday at 7748 Penn St., Slatington. Doors open at 11 a.m. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade. For tickets, call 484-619-0140,484-225-2714 or 610-428-6329.

Clothing and shoe drive

Northern Lehigh Little Theatre will have a clothing and shoe drive May 9 and 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. and May 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. Drop off is Northern Lehigh Middle School, 600 Diamond St., Slatington. All items must be in tied plastic bags. Items that are not accepted are furniture, toys, books, glass, liquids or bric-a-brac. Items that are wanted are clothing, shoes, blankets, household items, tablecloths, accessories, purses, hats and scarves.
