Letter to the editor: Veterans organizations need young blood

We have Americans buried almost if not all over the world and in almost every body of water.

We show sometimes white crosses when we invaded France or in movies when Americans were buried at sea.

There was a time when Veteran Organizations had many members (men and women) who cared and wanted to help their towns, cities and boroughs.

Now it looks like that’s passed. Too many excuses.

Veteran Organizations were able to help them more than they can now. Membership is dying and buildings are closing. Older members moving away to family, homes or cemeteries.

We always thought it was better to fight over there to keep our families safe here. Then when we came back, we could help our towns.

But now thing don’t look good. Younger veterans aren’t joining organizations, new ideas are not here. Money to help towns is becoming less. Care is almost gone - As is Brotherhood and sisterhood. Why?

Too much greed.
