From household items, to home décor, to clothing and children’s items, there will be options galore to choose from.
The Times News will host its fifth annual Community Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The rain date is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
It will be held on the Times News front (and back) lawn at 594 Blakeslee Blvd., Drive West, Lehighton.
Nearly 50 vendors have signed up for this weekend’s event, according to Jennifer Benninger, organizer for the Community Yard Sale.
“They bring everything from household items, home décor, clothing and children’s items,” Benninger said. “We also have some small businesses joining us that sell plants, handmade soaps, crafts and a Tastefully Simple consultant.”
Benninger said the objective is to bring the community together to sell some of their unwanted items, as well as to support small businesses.
“Many people enjoy shopping the yard sale; they also enjoy seeing people they haven’t seen in a while,” she said. “It’s a great social event.”
Benninger said Happy Tummy Concessions food truck will be on the property to serve breakfast and lunch.
She said there will be restrooms and parking in the back lot.
Benninger said there will be accessible parking in the front lot.
She said the Times News will also hold a sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. There will be a tent set up on the front lawn where people can sign up for free.
There are no pets or smoking acceptable on the premises.
