• Gino Conti, 19, of Ringtown, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after state police at Frackville made a traffic stop at 8:16 p.m. April 20 on High Street in Gilberton.
He was stopped in a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta for a Motor Vehicle Code violations.
• State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a 2005 Dodge Durango owned by a 47-year-old New Philadelphia woman.
She reported the theft at 7:16 a.m. April 20 from Water Street in New Philadelphia. Police said a suspect in the theft has been identified.
• A 19-year-old New Ringgold man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after state police at the Schuylkill Haven stopped him at 12:39 a.m. April 8 at Bunting and Diamond streets in Branch Township. Police said he was stopped in a 2015 Dodge Intrepid, after which time police found the contraband in his possession. Police said he was given standardized field sobriety tests and underwent ARIDE testing but it was determined he was not driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
• A second theft of a vehicle in Coaldale Borough is under investigation.
Police said a 49-year-old Coaldale man reported at 4:53 p.m. April 21 that he started his 2018 Ford F150 and left the keys inside the unlocked vehicle when he went back into his residence on Greenwood Street to grab garbage. The man told police when he exited his house, he observed his truck being driven east on Route 209.
