Palmerton Police are on scene along Delaware Avenue where a 3-year-old child was struck by a Penske truck.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when emergency personnel were dispatched to 166 Delaware Ave. The child was treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being flown by LifeFlight 6 to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center.
