Dean D.W. DeLong, Carbon County treasurer, was named chairman of the Carbon County Action Committee during a meeting held last night at Cerimele’s Dinner Bell Restaurant, Nesquehoning.
He succeeds Samuel J. Dolgopol of Lehighton, who served as president for the past two years.
Other offices elected include Clinton Williams of Lehighton, vice president; Robert McCombs of Mahoning Valley, secretary; and Florence Sterling of Lansford, treasurer.
The board named Kimberly Miller of Jim Thorpe to serve as acting executive director during the period in which executive director Ranny Barclay will be on a voluntary leave of absence.
