STATE POLICE AT LEHIGHTON
State police at Lehighton reported on several recent incidents:
• Curtis Urbanski, 26, of Kresgeville, was cited for harassment by physical contact after they responded to a domestic altercation at 11:57 a.m. March 19 at a property on Interchange Road, Polk Township
A 24-year-old woman from Allentown reported the altercation turned physical in nature.
• A 27-year-old Summit Hill man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:27 a.m. March 18.
They stopped him in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt for multiple vehicle violations on Mill Road in Mahoning Township.
• A 21-year-old Philadelphia man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 2:57 a.m. March 17.
He was stopped in a 2020 Nissan Sentra for a violation at Route 33 southbound in Hamilton Township.
Police are investigating the theft of $4,000 from a residence on Lower Smith Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.
A 63-year-old man from Kunkletown reported the money, in unknown denominations, was taken from a safe in his home between Dec. 20 and March 9. The theft was reported to police at 11:12 a.m. March 16.
• A 20-year-old Kunkletown man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a disturbance at 6:21 a.m. March 13 at a property on Gumwood Lane in Polk Township.
Police said the victim is a 44-year-old man from Kunkletown who reported the 20-year-old threw a glass cup at his head.
• Police charged a 25-year-old Lansford woman with harassment by physical contact after they were called to a domestic incident at 5:25 p.m. March 10 at 601 E. Abbott St., Lansford.
A 28-year-old Lansford man said the woman punched him in the back during an argument. He was uninjured, police said.
• Police said a 57-year-old woman from Lehighton is the victim of a criminal mischief incident they were called to at 11:37 a.m. March 9.
It happened at a property on Stagecoach Road West in Towamensing Township when solar lights in her front yard were uprooted.
• Police were summoned to an online identity theft incident reported at 9:44 a.m. March 9.
A 22-year-old woman from Forest Inn Road, Aquashicola, Lower Towamensing Township, is the victim of the incident.
• A 12-year-old Jim Thorpe boy is facing a charge of harassment by physical contact after police were called to Unionville Road, Penn Forest Township, at 11:54 a.m. Feb. 10 for an incident between children on a school bus.
They said the victims are two Jim Thorpe girls, ages 8 and 7.
