Fire companies from throughout Schuylkill County responded Sunday to a three-alarm fire in Minersville. The blaze was reported around 1 p.m. in the 300 block of North Second Street.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy fire in the rear of a home with two residents trapped on the roof.
The fire quickly spread to an additional four homes, with heavy winds helping to fan the flames.
Twenty minutes into the fire officials were alerted of a water main break in the borough, triggering an immediate tanker task force response for an additional water supply.
Reports are there may have been at least one resident suffering severe burns.
