We read in the Times News on 3-16-24 another published unsubstantiated and hallucinatory rant at U.S. Rep. Susan Wild and the current White House Administration accusing her and them of every domestic and foreign policy issue-failure imaginable. As I “connect the dots,” I see both major political parties as equally responsible for what does - or does not happen - whether it be in Washington, D.C. or Harrisburg, PA.
While we’re rating political behaviors, let’s not overlook the record of our local PA Legislators: Our roads and bridges (E. Penn St.) remain in poor condition; our public schools remain underfunded; taxes continue to rise; local police are not supported by Legislators’ continuing refusal to give police the use of electronic timing devices such as radar (a public safety issue - and the only state in the US without this vital tool for local police); trying to get more firearms out to any unlicensed person who wants them; etc.
If we’re going to cast stones, let’s make sure both major political parties get equal shares.
