State police at the Frackville barracks and Schuylkill County Office of Children and Youth Services are investigating a report of abuse they received involving a 6-year-old boy from Tamaqua.

Police said at 8:41 a.m. March 28 they received information from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown that a student within its school system reported abuse by his parents.

Police did not provide any other information on the investigation except to say they are working jointly with the county agency in the case.
