Lehighton is accepting applications for a borough secretary and utility billing clerk.
Applications for both positions are being accepted until 4 p.m. April 5.
The borough secretary is a full-time in-office employee position who provides reception duties and clerical support to borough staff and residents.
Applicants are expected to have one year of work experience in a municipal or professional office environment. Applicants must possess a high school diploma (or the GED equivalent) to apply.
The salary for the position is $45,000 to $55,000 per year ($21.63 to $26.44 per hour), based on qualifications and experience.
The borough utility billing clerk is a full-time in-office position who provides reception duties and clerical support to residents. Job duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining utility records for electric, water, sewer, and garbage accounts, collecting bill payments, pursuing delinquent collections, issuing moving permits, and distributing general information to the public.
The advertised salary for the position is $22.73 per hour ($47,278 per year).
