State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents:
• A 33-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 9:46 p.m. March 15.
They stopped him in a 2002 Saturn for a Motor Vehicle Code violation in East Lizard Creek Road, East Penn Township.
• Police responded to an active Protection From Abuse violation at 6:13 p.m. March 15.
It happened at a property on Bowman Road in Penn Forest Township. The victim is a 41-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe.
• Police said a Kunkletown man reported a theft at 1 p.m. March 15 at 2139 Sassafras Lane, Polk Township.
The 76-year-old man reported $500 was stolen.
• A 39-year-old Bethlehem man is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police after an incident at 8:38 p.m. March 14.
It happened when he attempted to elude police on a 2002 Kawasaki as they tried to stop him for multiple Title 75 offenses but was taken into custody at North First and Carbon streets in Lehighton.
• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at 6:48 p.m. March 14 at 2373 Point Phillips Road, Eldred Township.
A 57-year-old Kunkletown woman reported some people driving quads near her home knocked over her garbage cans, which caused damage to a sign bearing her house number on it. The estimated damages are $100, police said.
• A 30-year-old Palmerton man was cited for harassment after police were summoned to a neighborhood dispute at midnight March 17.
It happened on Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township. The victim is a 33-year-old man from Saylorsburg.
