Two homes were destroyed by fire early Saturday morning in the Schuylkill County community of Girardville. The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. at 36 W. Mahanoy Avenue. The flames quickly traveled to 38 W. Mahanoy Avenue. Both homes are reported to be vacant with the family moving out of 36 W. Mahanoy Ave. this past week.
