State police at Lehighton report the following:

• A 45-year-old Effort man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 27 on Shenkel Road in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 33-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 27 on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

• A 47-year-old Summit Hill man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made Feb. 24 on East Patterson Street in Lansford.

• A 17-year-old Effort boy was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 23 on Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 40-year-old Lansford man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 24 on Laurel Drive in Summit Hill Borough.

• A 39-year-old Ashfield man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic Feb. 21 on West Bowmans Road in East Penn Township.

• A 25-year-old Lehighton woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 19 in the 400 block on Bridge Street in Weissport.

She was stopped for numerous traffic violations while driving a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo. Police took her for a chemical test of her blood.

• The driver of a 2023 Nissan Frontier that crashed at 9:49 p.m. Feb. 16 on Long Mountain Road in Polk Township is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the vehicle was westbound when the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The car left the roadway and struck a utility pole on the south side of the road.

The operator was also cited for the incident.

• A 49-year-old man from MaryD is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 13 in the 1300 block of Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East in Mahoning Township.
