One person was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a crash in Orwigsburg.

The incident occurred in the intersection of North Warren and Tammany streets involving a sport utility vehicle and a car.

The car came to rest facing north on North Warren Street while the SUV mounted the sidewalk, entered a driveway managing to dodge several large trees before impacting with the side of a home.

One of the occupants was treated at the scene by members of the Orwigsburg ambulance before being flown by Medevac helicopter to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center. Orwigsburg police are investigating the incident.
