Firefighters from Carbon and Schuylkill counties responded to a working dwelling fire Sunday afternoon in Lansford.

The blaze was reported around 3:30 p.m. in the narrow 200 block of East Snyder Avenue.

According to reports from the scene, the family managed to escape the flames.

Two homes were extensively damaged in the incident.
