A quick response by firefighters Friday afternoon saved a home in Franklin Township. The call came in shortly after 3 p.m. for a working dwelling fire at the intersection of Franklin and Fairyland roads. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the roof area of the 2½-story single family home. The occupants of the home escaped the fire. Fire personnel were on scene for two hours.
