Northern Lehigh School Board unanimously approved the following personnel matters on Monday:
Resignations
• Beth Dietrich, cafeteria monitor, Peters Elementary School, effective at the end of the work day on Jan. 25.
• Tina Beltz, cafeteria hall monitor, Northern Lehigh High School, effective at the end of the day Jan. 31.
• Amy Hower, cook’s helper, Slatington Elementary School, effective at the end of the day, Feb. 6.
• Janelle Taylor, paraprofessional at Northern Lehigh High School, effective at the end of the day on Jan. 11.
• Crystal Schaller, cook’s helper at Northern Lehigh Middle School, effective at the end of the day Feb. 8.
Appointments
• Maisha Utterbach, secondary special education teacher, $63,875, upon release from current employer.
• Crystal Schaller, high school office paraprofessional, $14.72 an hour, effective Feb. 9.
• Rose McDaniel, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, effective Feb. 9.
• Debbie Smith, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, effective Feb. 12.
• Brandi Lee, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, effective Feb. 19.
• Elizabeth Sabo, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, effective on or about Feb. 19.
• Michelle Schramel, special education paraprofessional, $16.39 an hour, 5.75 hours, effective Feb. 12.
• Autumn Fink, special education paraprofessional, $16.39 an hour, 5.75 hours, effective the 2023-2024 school year.
Administrative transfer
• Josh Reimer, from custodian second shift, to custodian dayshift, at no change in salary, effective Feb. 13.
Substitutes
• Tina Beltz, substitute secretary and or substitute paraprofessionals for the 2023-2024 school year at the 2023-2024 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
• Darla Stewart, guest teacher, John Sipko, guest teacher, Tanya Williams, health and physical education, as substitute teachers for the 2023-2024 school year at the 2023-2024 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
Salary adjustments
• Acknowledged that teacher Shannon Jones has completed the requirements from Step 4B+24 to Step 4M per the Collective Bargaining Agreement that entitles here to a midyear salary increase for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
Other
• Approved Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link to appoint qualified personnel to vacant positions during the period of time from Feb. 13 through the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
