Barry, Pollard, Thomas named Colonial League first team in girls basketball
Three area players from three different schools have been named to the Colonial League Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-Star First Team.
Northern Lehigh, Northwestern and Palmerton - which all reached the league playoffs this season - were represented on the top squad.
Hannah Barry, a senior for the Blue Bombers, was recognized after helping her team go undefeated in the league and earning the top seed in the CL playoffs.
The Bulldogs’ Aubrey Pollard, also a senior, was also selected to the First Team. Pollard reached the coveted 1,000-point mark earlier this season.
Cara Thomas, a junior, is the Tigers’ representative. Thomas is her team’s leading scorer and helped Northwestern post a regular-season record of 17-5.
The three schools also had one player gain Second Team status. They included Palmerton’s Sydney Frantz, Northwestern’s Brook Balliet and Northern Lehigh’s Katelyn Barthold.
