Several schools have announced closings or remote learning in advance of the snow in the forecast:

• Northampton Community College, Bethlehem and Monroe campuses, closed

• Northwestern Lehigh, closed

• Palmerton, remote learning

• Panther Valley, virtual learning

• Pleasant Valley, remote learning

• Tamaqua Area School District, closed

• Weatherly, closed

The storm is predicted to start after 11 p.m. and has been changed to heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches and ice accumulations of aroundone tenth of an inch are expected.

Particularly heavy snowfall will be possible around the time of the morning commute, with snowfall rates of around 1 to 2 inches per hour possible.
