Voters in two precincts will cast their votes during the primary election at a new location.

On Thursday, the county election board approved changing the location for precincts 14 and 15 in Jim Thorpe from Memorial Hall to the Onoko Fire and Rescue Fairview fire garage, which houses the trucks.

The board said this is due to construction taking place at Memorial Hall.

Voters for the two precincts, as well as 16, which already votes at the Onoko company, will all cast votes at the same location for the primary.

Commissioner Michael Sofranko said the board needs to address parking at the new location since a larger than normal turnout is expected due to the presidential race.
