A man is in custody after police say he stole a truck from Palmerton.

Borough police Chief Tim Kromer said police received a report of a theft of a truck from the 600 block of Mauch Chunk Road on Saturday morning.

Kromer said the vehicle, a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, was recovered on Interstate 80 in Pocono Township Sunday night by the Pocono Township Police Department.

He said a man was stopped during the recovery of the vehicle.

Kromer said the incident remains under investigation. No other information was available at press time.
