State police at Frackville report on incidents
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following:
• A 26-year-old Shenandoah man regained consciousness after a drug overdose at 4:19 p.m. Jan. 22.
It happened on West Centre Street in West Mahanoy Township, where police were summoned to a report of an unresponsive man.
They said emergency medical services personnel provided medical care to the man, who was transported to an area hospital for further treatment after regaining consciousness.
• In a similar incident, police said a 48-year-old New Ringgold man regained consciousness after a drug overdose, but he refused to go with emergency medical services personnel to an area hospital for further treatment.
They said the man was reported to be unresponsive at 4:46 p.m. Jan. 16 at a property on Summer Valley Road, East Brunswick Township, and was provided medical care by his ex-girlfriend to regain consciousness.
• Police were summoned to investigate a burglary that happened between midnight Jan. 15 and 3:15 p.m. Jan. 20 at a property on Cold Run Road in East Brunswick Township.
A 31-year-old man from Andreas reported someone entered his residence and removed multiple tools. Stolen were a generator, circular saw, framing nailer, work light, battery and zip tape roll having a collective value of $1,060, police said.
• Police said an unknown woman stole two items from the Dollar General Store, 700 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, Ryan Township, and fled the store in an orange Jeep.
They were called to the store at 8:25 p.m. Jan. 28 after the woman stole a can of Red Bull worth $4.35 and a perfume pack valued at $8 via the store’s self-checkout register.
• Gavyn Datchko, 21, of Delano, was charged with simple assault and defiant trespass after police were called to an incident at 2:33 p.m. Jan. 7 at a property on Park Place Road in Mahanoy Township.
Police said the victims are two women, ages 33 and 55, both from Mahanoy City.
Police said Datchko currently has three active warrants out against him. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to call the barracks at 1-570-874-5300.
• Kenneth Neifert, 37, of New Philadelphia, was charged with defiant trespass after police responded to an incident at 2:54 p.m. Jan. 26 at the AT & T store, 45 Plaza Drive, Rush Township.
