260 TOYS COLLECTED FOR KIDS

A toy drive to benefit the Carbon County Head Start Program provided 260 toys for children this past Christmas. The Lutheran Church of St. John in Jim Thorpe, Mason’s Cold Beer and John Hoffman of Jim Thorpe, who organized the drive with Thrivent Action team seed money, along with donations from the St. John’s Sunday school and private donations made the drive a success. The toys were organized, packed and delivered to the Lehighton Head Start location for distribution within the county.
