Frackville incidents

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:

• Junior Sanchez Rodriguez, 39, of Mahanoy City, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped while driving a 2019 Subaru at the intersection of Claremont and Jefferson avenues in Rush Township. It happened at 9:42 p.m. Jan. 21.

• A 52-year-old Shenandoah man reported someone attempted to remove a catalytic converter from his 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora on Mount Olive Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township at 2:06 p.m. Oct. 26.

• David Halbrook, 38, of New Ringgold, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police responded to an erratic driver report at 4:33 p.m. Dec. 28.

They said they responded to a report of a vehicle being “all over the roadway” near the intersection of Skyline Drive and Route 61 in Blythe Township and eventually stopped the vehicle on Route 61 in Frackville Borough.

• A 31-year-old man from Fredericksburg, Virginia, is facing a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop police made at 2:40 p.m. Dec. 31.

They stopped him in a Ford Focus for speeding on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township. Following a consent search of the vehicle, police found the controlled substance on the vehicle.

• Two people were arrested for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a fight in progress at 9:08 p.m. Jan. 19 at 3 Golf Road, Rush Township.

Charged were Joseph Lumia-Amison, 29, of Mahanoy City, and Sharleen Mooney, 47, of Barnesville.

Police said Lumia-Amison arrived at the residence after engaging in an argument with Mooney and Mooney shoved him, who, in turn, shoved her back. Police said Lumia-Amison then threw a brick through the front window of Mooney’s residence.
