State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following:

• Paige M. Davis, 18, of Kunkletown, was involved in a crash at 8:42 a.m. Jan. 16 on Scenic Drive in Polk Township.

Police said she was driving a 2011 Mazda northbound and lost control on a left curve in the road. The car struck an embankment on the berm of the road. After the initial impact, the car rotated counter-clockwise and came to rest in the northbound lane.

The car was towed from the scene.

• Clair F. Troxell, 66, of Lehighton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 4 p.m. Jan. 16 on Church Hill Road in East Penn Township. He was uninjured.

Police said he was driving a 2004 Ford F250 southbound and was driving too fast for conditions when the truck left the roadway and traveled down the embankment.

The vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. Jan. 19 on Rolling Hills Road in Ross Township.

Police said Stanley J. Narucki, 84, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2019 Ford Escape that drove over a patch of ice, causing the driver to drive off the roadway and strike a ditch.

Police said Narucki and a passenger, Laura A. Gulinazzo, 59, also of Saylorsburg, refused medical treatment at the scene.

The Escape had minimal damages, police said.

• A 40-year-old man from Slatington is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 2:13 a.m. Jan. 19.

They stopped him in a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at the intersection of Lehigh Drive and Route 873 in Lehigh Township.

Police said it was determined the man possessed an out-of-state active warrant from Warren County, New Jersey. He was taken into custody and transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning.

• Andrzej W. Sroka, 44, of Horsham, was cited for “operation following suspension of registration” after a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 p.m. Jan. 18 at the intersection of Berger Street, Pohopoco Drive and Trachsville Hill Road in Towamensing Township.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee that failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck a 2010 Ford Edge operated by Vincent S. Tobia, 40, of Kunkletown.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police said the Edge was towed from the scene.
