Saints Peter and Paul Parish

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Lehighton by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., throughout the year on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m.

The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer every Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. A change from previous news: we are particularly in need of adorers between 5-7 p.m.

• Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Services include individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals). • The parish hosts the Saint Vincent de Paul Society’s “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in the former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need, and seeks donations of the same. Call the rectory for more information.

• The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA) includes instruction in the faith for those interested in receiving the Sacraments of Initiation in the Catholic Church. Father is opening the sessions to any parishioner interested in learning more about their faith. Wednesday evenings in the hall from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. No registration necessary.
