St. John the Baptist and St. Nicholas
Since there has been a change in clergy, the holiday schedule has been also been changed for St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning; and St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Lansford.
All are welcome to come and worship. Services will be celebrated by Protopresbyter Fr. Joseph Fester.
On Jan. 19: Divine Liturgy for Theophany with Blessing of the water at St. John Orthodox Church.
Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Jan. 22-26.
Monday: Chicken Fritters, Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli, Melon or Turkey Ham and Cheese Sandwich
Tuesday: Halupki, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Yogurt or Beef and Cheese Sandwich
Wednesday: Chicken Alfredo, Pasta, Vegetable Blend, Apple Slices, Muffin or Italian Salad
Thursday: French Onion Soup, Cheeseburger, Sweet Potato Fries, Orange or Chef Salad with Ham
Friday: Cheese Omelet, Breakfast Potatoes, Biscuit, Fruit Salad or BBQ Chicken Sandwich
The senior center also announced the following events.
Sunshine Meeting on Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. followed by Po-Ke-No at 11 a.m.; Cornhole on Jan. 19 at 11 a.m.
Horse racing on Jan. 22 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Jan. 23 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Jan. 24 at 10 a.m.; Po-Ke-No on Jan. 25 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Jan. 26 at 10 a.m.
Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.
