State police at Fern Ridge release details on crashes
State police at Fern Ridge released information on recent crashes:
• Latasha R. McCrimmon, 43, of Stroudsburg, was injured in a two-vehicle incident at 9:10 p.m. Dec. 18 at the intersection of Bartonsville Woods and Rocky Ridge roads in Jackson Township.
Police said she was transported by police from the St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville.
Police said she was driving a 2013 Buick Enclave east on Bartonsville Road when a 2019 Ford EcoSport, driven by Mark E. Lovett, 68, of Stroudsburg, was pulled off the roadway at the entrance to the HJP Regional Park. McCrimmon told police she observed the headlights of the EcoSport and thought the vehicle was in her lane. She swerved the Enclave to miss the EcoSport and in doing so struck its driver’s side door and then hit a tree.
Police said the Enclave was towed from the scene while the EcoSport was able to be driven from the site.
Lovett was uninjured.
Police said McCrimmon was cited for the crash.
• Cuan H. Grant, 28, of Saylorsburg, was cited after a two-vehicle incident at 10:04 p.m. Dec. 11 at the intersection of Route 115 and Bunny Lane in Chestnuthill Township. Grant was driving a 2011 Honda Civic that collided with a 20089 Kia Borrego driven by Keith M. Adams, 33, of Saylorsburg. No one was injured.
• Joshua G. Gold, 46, of Nazareth, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 5:10 a.m. Dec. 18 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
Police said he was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla too fast for conditions when it crossed over into the left lane of travel and struck a concrete barrier. The car sustained severe front-end damages, police said.
• John F. Hill, 51, of Kunkletown, was uninjured in a similar crash at 4:52 p.m. Dec. 18 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
Police said he was driving a 1998 Jeep Wrangler that he lost control of after it struck standing water and hydroplaned. The Jeep traveled off the right side of the road and struck a concrete barrier. It was towed from the scene, police said.
• Cristian J. Leon, 29, of Saylorsburg, and two passengers, ages 5 and 6, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:02 p.m. Dec. 21 on Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was driving a 1996 Toyota Camry that they observed lying on its roof, facing east, in the northbound lane of the highway. They said Leon was northbound when the vehicle traveled over ice, causing him to lose control of it. The car struck an embankment and overturned onto its roof. It was towed from the scene.
• Tyler C. Vogt, 31, of Walnutport, sustained suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:58 a.m. Dec. 23 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad and Ambulance Corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.
Police said he was driving a 2012 Audi westbound during freezing rain and wet road conditions. They said the car left the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest on its side facing east.
The car was towed from the scene, police said.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:37 p.m. Dec. 21 on the Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township.
It involved a 2012 Hyundai Elantra driven by Alexandra C. Raughley, 28, of Stroudsburg, and a 2017 Kia Sportage driven by Helena M. Bauer, 55, of Effort.
Police said Raughley was cited for a stop sign violation.
